Measurement of the W$^{\pm}+b\overline{b}$ Cross Section at CDF

Abstract
We present a preliminary measurement of the W$^{\pm}+b\bar{b}$ production cross section in $p\bar{p}$ collisions at 1.96 TeV at the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF). We measure the cross section using events that contain one high transverse momentum lepton, missing transverse energy, and one or two jets including one jet tagged with a displaced secondary vertex. We use the invariant mass of the vertex to discriminate between b-quark jets, c-quark jets, and mistags.
