Abstract

Weak gravitational lensing is a means of measuring the expansion history of the Universe and the growth of the structures contained within. Both quantities are altered by the existence of dark energy or by alterations to General Relativity. I will describe the methods, potential, and limitations of the weak lensing method, and the practical steps necessary for its full exploitation.
