Search for gravitational wave bursts associated with gamma-ray bursts using LIGO detectors

Abstract
We present the status of searches for gravitational-wave bursts associated with gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) that were detected by satellite experiments during LIGO science runs. A search for associated gravitational waves from individual GRBs, as well as a statistical search for a cumulative gravitational wave signal from the GRB sample, were made. These searches were confined to short time windows surrounding each GRB trigger.
