Measurement of Neutrino Induced Inclusive Delta Resonance Cross section in NOMAD

ORAL

Abstract

The measurement of neutrino induced inclusive Resonance interaction process in NOMAD will be discussed. The signature of a $\nu_{\mu}$ induced resonance off a neutron target results in a $\mu^-$ with $\Delta^{++}$~(1230) resonance; the $\Delta^ {++}$ decays into a proton and a pion (two positive hadrons). A likelihood method was used to separate the signal from background (+- hadron pairs). The measurement technique and the preliminary results will be presented.
