A Dalitz plot analysis of $D^0 \to K^- K^+ \pi^0$ decays

Abstract

We study the resonant substructure of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^0\rightarrow K^-K^+\pi^0$ by analyzing the Dalitz plot distribution in 232~fb$^{-1}$ data collected by the BaBar experiment at the PEP-II storage rings. We measure the strong phase difference $\delta_D$ and amplitude ratio $r_D$ for the decay processes $D^0\rightarrow K^{*-}K^+$ and $D^0\rightarrow K^{*+}K^-$.
