Recent Highlights in Hadron Structure

Abstract

The interior landscape of hadrons includes a strong-force driven sea of quarks, antiquarks and gluons, with a few ever-present valence quarks. This activity then provides the foundation for the spatial extensions of nature's building blocks. Recent highlights have provided concrete information how the elementary quarks and gluons conspire to create the proton's structure and static properties, with unexpected answers and impact.
