The Quark Gluon Plasma and the Perfect Fluid: Quantifying Degrees of Perfection

The hot energy dense medium created in high energy heavy ion reactions has been described by many names, including a quark gluon plasma and a perfect fluid. In this presentation, we will give an overview of what these terms mean and what quantitatively has been learned about the relevant properties of the medium.
