Numerical Relativity from a Gauge Theory Perspective

We briefly describe the formulation of general relativity as an $SO(3,1)$ gauge theory. We explain how this formulation admits an elegant, geometric and coordinate-independent discretization. We present results from numerical simulations of simple spacetimes using this formulation.
