Measurement of the Mass of the $\tau$ Lepton
ORAL
Abstract
Using a pseudomass technique, we present the first precision measurement with the BaBar detector of the mass of the $\tau$ lepton using $\tau \rightarrow 3\pi \nu_{\tau}$ decays. The measurement will use 446 million $\tau^{+}\tau^{-}$ pairs produced in the 485 $fb^{-1}$ of data collected by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $B$ Factory.
