First 5 Tower CDMS Analysis Results
ORAL
Abstract
The Cryogenic Dark Matter Search (CDMS) is searching for Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) with low-temperature detectors that have the ability to discriminate between candidate (nuclear recoil) and background (electron recoil) events with extremely high accuracy. The CDMS II experiment has completed analysis of the first data run with all 30 semiconductor detectors at the Soudan Underground Laboratory. This talk will present an overview of the experiment along with the analysis results, with a focus on the data quality studies that remove outlier events.
