Study of the decay $D^{0} \rightarrow \gamma \gamma$

We present preliminary results for the decay $D^{0} \rightarrow \gamma \gamma$ using data collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric $e^{+} e^{-}$ collider at SLAC. We fully reconstruct the decay $D^{ *} \rightarrow D^0\pi^+$,$D^{0} \rightarrow \gamma \gamma$. These predominantly long-range, FCNC decays provide a test for physics beyond the standard model.
