The U.S. Role in the LHC Program

COFFEE_KLATCH · Invited

Abstract

The start of the LHC physics program will initiate the long anticipated chance to explore physics at the TeV mass scale. In collaboration with scientists across the globe, opportunities will exist for U.S. physicists to attack some of the most pressing physics questions of the field as well as break new ground in areas such as computing and detector development for very high luminosity data collection at an upgraded LHC. I will review a number of these exciting opportunities.
