Search for Chargino and Neutralino Decays Using Taus at CDF

ORAL

Abstract

We present a search for chargino and neutralino supersymmetric particles yielding trilepton final states, where at least one of the leptons is a hadronically decaying tau. This signature is important in the high $\tan\beta$ SUSY region where the branching ratio of charginos and neutralinos to tau leptons dominates. We study event acceptance and lepton identification cuts and efficiencies, and provide estimates for dominant backgrounds.
