Studies of First Tracks in the CMS Pixel Detector

ORAL

Abstract

During 2008 the silicon pixel detector of the CMS experiment at LHC has participated in cosmic particle measurements which provided several 100 millions of charged muon tracks. This allowed commissioning of the reconstruction software and extensive data quality monitoring. Afterwards, detector alignment properties such as pixel residuals and pixel efficiencies were determined. I will discuss the detector studies during this talk.
