Heavy Flavor Physics - News from the Tevatron
COFFEE_KLATCH · Invited
Abstract
In this talk, I will summarize recent heavy flavor measurements utilizing up to 5~fb$^{-1}$ of data from the Fermilab Tevatron proton-antiproton collider. Several new $b$ baryons have been observed in the past two years and I will discuss the current status of these exciting studies. Recent results for the CP-violating phase $\phi_s^{J/\psi\phi}=-2\beta_s^{J/\psi\phi}$ suggest a new source of CP violation in the CKM matrix. I will report on this and other measurements yielding information about CP violation and the $B_s^0-\bar{B}_s^0$ width difference. I will show new results for rare $B_d$ and $B_s$ decays and $\Upsilon$ polarization. Finally, mixing and CP violation in charm decays will be explored.
