Search for Higgs and TeV-Scale Gravitons in the Diphoton Channel at the LHC

Two of the main motivations for the LHC are the investigation of a Higgs sector, and the search for gravitons. In particular, both Higgs and RS gravitons are theorized include decays to two photon final states, which can be well measured with the precision electromagnetic calorimeter of CMS. A survey of the CMS discovery potential in, these two models is presented, including variants which may be more accessible during the startup period.
