Observation of the $X(3872)$ in $pp$ collisions at 7 TeV

This talk reports the observation of the $X(3872)$ state in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7~\mathrm{TeV}$, through the analysis of the decay channel $X(3872)\rightarrow{}J/\psi\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$, using the data collected by the CMS experiment in 2010.
