Jet Identification and Dijet Mass Resolution for Standard Model Higgs Searches at D0

ORAL

Abstract

We search for the standard model Higgs boson with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider with 9.7~fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity in $p\bar{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96$~TeV in association with $W$ or $Z$ boson, considering $H\to b\bar{b}$ decays. We will present the jet identification criteria used in the analyses to maximize the sensitivity to a possible Higgs boson signal and discuss the algorithms used to improve the di-jet invariant mass resolution.
