Dark Matter: Theory and Synthesis

Abstract

We dicuss the connection between theoretical models for dark matter and the variety of search strategies being employed today. The correct interpretation of direct, indirect, and collider search data crucially depends on assumptions about the nature of dark matter and its interactions. We highlight the manner in which data from several experiments can be used to determine the nature and properties of dark matter.
