Abstract

For the last few decades, particle physics has searched for the Higgs boson as the missing ingredient of the Standard Model. This talk will discuss what it means to have discovered the Higgs, how we can be sure it is the particle we have been looking for, and how it informs the decision as to where particle physicists might next focus their attention.
