Search for New Physics in Dielectron Final States Using the ATLAS Detector in Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider
ORAL
Abstract
A search for Physics beyond the Standard Model is described for new resonant phenomena in Dielectron final states. The dataset used comes from the first exposure of the LHC to 2015 Run 2 data of $3.2$ fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV, as recorded by the ATLAS detector. The Dielectron invariant mass spectrum is the discriminating search variable. The current results will be presented along with prospects for the rest of Run 2.
