Background estimation techniques search for scalar top-quark production with top quark tagging in the all-hadronic channel at 13 TeV with the CMS detector

Abstract

Within the search for supersymmetry in all-hadronic events with missing transverse momentum using top quark tagging the lost lepton and hadronic tau backgrounds estimations will be discussed. The performance of the tagging algorithm for the top candidates as well as the design of the algorithm will be demonstrated for the 2016 proton-proton running period at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS detector at the LHC.
