Women Physicists in India and other Asian Countries

I would like to summarise information about the participation by women in Physics, both research and teaching, in India, as well as the various actions that have been undertaken to increase the participation and/or to make it more effective. I would also present information about women in Physics in Asian countries like Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Japan and Thailand. The state of development in Science in these Asian countries is different and so is the economic situation. The commonalities and the differences are both instructive.
