Rare physics searches at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory

ORAL · Invited

Abstract

China Jinping underground laboratory (CJPL) has been an ideal site for rare-event experiments such as dark matter, neutrinoless double beta decay, solar neutrino experiment and so on, based on its deepest rock overburden of about 2400m and large internal space. The laboratory is operated by Tsinghua University and Yalong River Hydropower Development Company, LTD. This presentation will give an overview of conditions, status and future plan of the laboratory. Main experiments and scientific activities carried out at CJPL will be presented including dark matter experiments such as CDEX and PandaX, Jinping underground nuclear astrophysics program (JUNA), Jinping neutrino experiment and so on.
