Prospects for LHCb

Abstract

With the beginning of the LHC Long Shutdown 2 this year, the LHCb experiment will be upgraded to equip the detector with a fully flexible software trigger and enable the collection of 50 fb-1 of data over the next ten years. Many key flavor observables will be measured to precisions sensitive to new physics effects. The collaboration envisions another major upgrade of the experiment to further extend the physics program in the HL-LHC era with the aim of collecting an additional 300 fb-1 of data. I will discuss both upgrades and highlight some of the future physics potential of LHCb.
