Remembering Steven Gubser and his contributions to physics

Steven Gubser (1972--2019), a professor in the Physics Department at Princeton University and an outstanding scholar of string theory and black holes, died as a result of a rock climbing accident on Saturday, August 3, 2019, while on vacation in France. In this talk, I will introduce Steve to you and describe his main contributions to physics.
