Particle Physics of Sterile Neutrinos

Sterile neutrinos have been proposed as an extension to the standard three-neutrino picture, motivated by beyond-Standard-Model theories and several anomalous experimental measurements. This talk will review the phenomenology of (light) sterile neutrinos, discuss experimental signatures, and review the present status and future prospects of experimental searches for sterile neutrinos.
