EIC Accelerator Design: Challenges and Solutions

Abstract

The Electron Ion Collider aims to improve our quatitative understanding of QCD. This requires large luminosity and a wide range of collision energies. The difficulties in each of the rings on their own as well as the unique problems associated with the interactions of electrons with ions will be discussed.
