Exploration of near horizon cft dual examples and conformal Weyl gravity

ORAL

Abstract

We study the cft duals of a class of balck hole solutions to conformal Weyl grtavity that are constructed to exhibit local AdS2xS2 symmetry. By analyzing their near horizon symmetry groups they are found to be holographically dual to one dimensional cfts with finite and computable Virasoro zero modes and central cahrges. This leads to black hole thermodynamic computations via canonical quantum microstate counting that is in agreement with the Wlad entropy for each respective black hole. We comment on the universality and area law of black hole entropy within the Weyl gravity paradigm.
