INCLUDES Alliance: The Inclusive Graduate Education Network

This session will describe project goals and activities of the NSF INCLUDES Alliance grant recently awarded to the Inclusive Graduate Education Network (IGEN). This multi-society effort will facilitate the expansion and sustained impact of the APS Bridge Program throughout physical science disciplines, through partnering with the largest professional societies in physics, chemistry, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, and materials science and engineering. Attendees will learn about the potential impact of this project for improving diversity and inclusion in graduate admissions and retention, as well as parallel efforts to improve the pipeline of minority undergraduates into graduate programs, and PhDs into their first professional position. Potential opportunities to participate in project activities will be described.
