Navigating Academic Spaces for Success

This workshop will focus on how to successfully navigate academic spaces. Topics will include identifying a good mentor and the characteristics of a good mentor, building effective studying habits, incorporating a work-life balance, collaborating with other researchers to form your network, balancing student activism, and best practices for acquiring research experiences. This workshop will consist of brief presentations, hands-on activities geared towards advocating for yourself, and a question and answer portion opened to the audience.
