Electrostatic trapping of ultracold NaCs molecules

Abstract

We present an electrostatic trap for ultracold polar molecules. As the molecules are created inside the trap via photoassociation, a continous accumulation of polar molecules is straightforward. Careful choice of experimental parameters allows detection of specific rovibrational states.
