Long-range interactions between Mg atoms

Abstract
The long-range interactions between two and three Mg atoms, the interaction between a Mg atom and a perfectly conducting metallic plate, and between a Mg atom and two plates are calculated. The atomic electric-dipole oscillator strength distribution is composed from combinations of theoretical and experimental data for energy levels, oscillator strengths, the polarizability, and photoionization cross sections.
