Superradiant transition of dysprosium in a multimode optical cavity
POSTER
Abstract
We report technical upgrades to our dysprosium quantum gas apparatus. We can now strongly couple ultracold dysprosium gases to a multimode optical cavity. The preparation of Dy Bose-Einstein condensates and ultracold fermionic gases within the cavity are reported as well as the first observation of a Dy Dicke superradiant transition. We will discuss the system's potential for exploring the Hubbard-Holstein model and Peierls instabilities.
