Progress on integrated photonics for trapped-ion quantum computers at Quantinuum

POSTER

Abstract

A central challenge in developing large-scale trapped-ion quantum computers is delivery of the required laser control fields to the ions. Integrated photonics offers pathways to scaling up laser beam delivery as the number of trapping zones and control wavelengths increases beyond the practical limits of free-space bulk optics. Here, we present the progress of integrated photonics at Quantinuum, focusing on the development of photonics components and materials for visible wavelengths.
