Progress on the development and integration of the Framework for Modernization and Componentization of Fusion Models (FMCFM)

POSTER

Abstract

The Framework for Modernization and Componentization of Fusion Models (FMCFM) is an SBIR funded project aimed at offering multiple, anomalous and neoclassical transport flux models within a single, multi-species and multi-language (Fortran, C/C++) friendly interface. FMCFM has been extended in the past year to include the GYRO, TGLF, KAPISN, MMM08, and NCLASS models in addition to the existing GLF23 and MMM95 models, prompting a complete rewrite of the interface. The new FMCFM interface will be described from the point of view of its integration within the Framework Architecture for Core-Edge Transport Simulation (FACETS). Also discussed will be future FMCFM plans for computing momentum transport terms and other user driven extensions.
