SOL ballooning instabilities due to sheath boundary conditions and X-point geometry.

ORAL

Abstract

The overview of the ballooning instabilities in the SOL driven by the sheath boundary conditions and temperature effects is presented. Particular emphasis is placed on the effect of the X-point geometry which adds additional dissipation thus modifying the nature of the modes.
