Development of a Triple Langmuir Probe System

POSTER

Abstract

Electric probes are among the most basic and widely used plasma diagnostics. The most commonly used electric probes is a single Langmuir probe. However, Langmuir probes require relative stable plasmas, complicated circuits to measure the I-V characteristics and provided limited temporal resolution of the plasma parameters. To address these limitations, we have built a triple Langmuir probe system. This poster presents the design of a triple Langmuir probe system and the corresponding data acquisition system. Preliminary results will also be presented.
