Simulation Support of the T4B Experiment

POSTER

Abstract

The Lockheed Martin Compact Fusion Reactor concept utilizes magnetic cusps to confine plasma. Simulations are carried out in support of the T4B experiment. Grad-Shafranov simulations are used to explore equilibrium stability. PIC simulations are conducted to understand the evolution of particle distribution functions, neutral beam heating efficiency and plasma confinement. Zero-Dimensional models are used predict plasma evolution. Finally, collision radiative models are used to determine plasma density and temperature. \copyright 2019 Lockheed Martin Corporation.
