MCNP Analysis of Double Shell NIF-ARC Radiography
ORAL
Abstract
Double shell capsule implosions are radiographed using the Advanced Radiographic Capability at the National Ignition Facility. The ultimate goal is to reconstruct the shape and density profile of the compressed inner shell. The Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP®) code is used to model these radiographs, using input from radiation-hydrodynamics simulations. This presentation will compare MCNP simulations with experimental observations.
