Geant4 simulation towards understanding signals from a new proton recoil telescope for Z

POSTER

Abstract

Recoil proton techniques allow for a time resolved neutron reaction history with the opportunity to use ranging filters for energy information. To this end, a proton recoil telescope is being developed for use on Sandia’s Z facility. Geant4 simulations of various expected signal contributions using a near final geometry will be presented. This work will aid in better understanding signals from a proton recoil telescope for neutron reaction history measurements at Sandia’s Z facility.
