Plot FFT
POSTER
Abstract
Plot FFT is a program that processes beamline data from the MOLLER experiment and converts it into Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) graphs. MOLLER is an experiment that will run in Hall A at Jefferson Lab, and measures the parity-violating electron-electron scattering asymmetry of about 36 parts-per-billion; the small asymmetry requires being able to evaluate periodic contributions to the detector and beamline signals, to be able to identify and minimize them. The data is collected in helicity windows of a specified duration during which the electron spin direction is kept fixed either forward or backward. The program is designed to accommodate any channel name within the file, any event period, and rootfile, provided the specific and complete path names are supplies. Additionally, these elements can be adjusted by modifying the relevant parameters.
