When Good Toys Go Bad

Oh the frustration when you have purchased a new physics apparatus and either it does not work as advertised or it works properly for only a short period of time. This problem is not necessarily related to the manufacturer or distributor as some equipment from these same suppliers is spectacular. I will give a brief overview of some of the new equipment in our labs and the problems we have had with them. We can all lament the problem together.
