Development of a Fast Tracker Trigger (FTK) for the ATLAS Experiment at CERN

As part of the ATLAS Experiment at CERN, I worked on the Fast Tracker Trigger (FTK) that is part of an upgrade to the ATLAS Detector's trigger system that selects which events to save for later analysis. The Associated Memory Board (AMB) is responsible for recognizing patterns in the data received from ATLAS's sub-detectors that indicate that tracks corresponding to events of possible interest have been found. A simulation of the AMB board was developed along with software to analyze and debug its performance.
