Geodesic completion of big bangs from emergent geometry

ORAL

Abstract

Geodesic incompleteness is a problem that occurs at singularities such as the big bang, the big crunch, or black holes. A common way to get around this issue is to have space reverse itself, but why not have time reverse instead. In this presentation, I will show how Chaplygin gas allows this to happen with the introduction of a new concept called the anti-tangent vector.
