Elastic electron and positron scattering from argon

In order to obtain accurate elastic differential cross sections for electron and positron scattering from the noble gases at intermediate energies, the effect of the open inelastic channels must be taken into account. We have developed a complex optical potential which does this [1] and have applied this to scattering from argon. Detailed results will be shown. \newline [1] S. Chen, R.P. McEachran and A.D.
