Low energy atomic and ionic collisions
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Low energy collisions between ions and atoms are
of fundamental interest for many applications.
I will discuss some basic processes and successful theoretical strategies
for their evaluations.
After a brief historical overview,
case-studies and results for some specific systems will be reviewed
and some highlights from astrophysics and from ultra-cold collisions will
be discussed.
