Baryon resonance studies via meson photoproduction at CLAS
COFFEE_KLATCH · Invited
Abstract
The CLAS Collaboration has been investigating the formation of baryon resonances in photoproduction processes for several years using the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer in Hall B at Jefferson Lab. Differential cross section data for pseudoscalar and vector mesons have been obtained with unprecedented statistics. Recently, the focus has been shifted towards the extraction of polarization observables using circularly and linearly polarized beams and frozen-spin targets. Preliminary cross section and polarization data will be presented as well as results from partial wave analyses and model calculations discussed with regard to the extraction of s-channel contributions.
