How universal gluodynamics underlying the structure of matter can be uncovered with precision by an Electron-Ion Collider (EIC)

Abstract

We discuss measurements in DIS off nuclei at an EIC that provide unique insight into the nature of strong color fields in QCD. We will focus in particular on what one can learn from diffractive DIS measurements that will be performed for the first time at an EIC.
