Inroads in meson spectroscopy

Meson spectroscopy plays an important role in constraining models used to describe non-perturbative QCD phenomena. I will discuss recent developments in theory and phenomenology and the emerging opportunities and challenges given the high precision data forthcoming from the Jefferson Lab and other facilities.
